SOLIDS: The particles are all close together and don't have much kenetic energy for example a peice of wood is a solid. Wood is hard and hard to break.
LIQUIDS: The particles are not all together because they move around and have kenetic energy unlike solids an example of a liquid is water. It move easily and is drinkable.
GASES: The particles are not all together and move around a lot in no certain pattern at all one examlpe of a gas would be petrol. Petrol makes cars run because it is a fuel and has a strong smell.

Why do icebergs float in antarctic and arctic waters? I think that ice bergs float because they are lighter than the water which is a big thing and it keeps the ice berg afloat.
Do you think there is much of the iceberg under water or is it mostly above the water? I know that ice bergs are 1 third above the water and the other 2 thirds is under water.
How could you test your hypothesis? By researching about the Artic.

When you have a jar with a very tight lid, you can run it under hot water and it becomes easier to open. Why? Because the hot water particles loosen up the lid on the jar so that you are able to open it easier.
